Improve Your Job Description with This Simple Tip
In one of our recent blogs, we talked about the importance of developing a simple, relevant job title to help attract the right candidates and improve your job ad ranking. But the functionality of your job title doesn’t end there. In fact, including the job title several times in your job description can help improve your overall ad rank.
Check out this short video to learn how you can use your job title to improve your job ad.
Using Your Job Title in the Description
Once you’ve created a short and simple job title, it’s time to use it in the description!
- Add your job title to the first paragraph of your job description at least 4 times.
- The job description should feature the term exactly as it appears in the job title. For example, if the job title is Dental Assistant, you should include Dental Assistant 4 times in the description.
- Here’s a helpful example: instead of saying “We are looking to add a new team member,” you can say “We are looking to add a new Dental Assistant to our team.”
- Adding your job title in the description 4 times may sound redundant, but the job boards look for these keywords when ranking your ad. Using the job title multiple times in the description can help improve your overall ad ranking.
