One of the most common questions we get asked is how to improve job ad rankings. Today, we’ll focus on one of the key methods to improving your rankings: simplify your job title!
Complicated job titles negatively affect your ranking on the job boards, so it’s important to keep your job titles short, simple, and relevant.

Here are some additional best practices for creating your job title.
- The job posting title should be similar to what job seekers are actually searching for. For example, your job title should be “Dental Hygenist” instead of “Hiring Extremely Talented Dental Hygenist.”
- The title should not include any punctuation. Avoid exclamation points.
- Avoid using all capital letters.
- Do not combine several roles into one job posting. The posting should only contain one job title.
